Here at Del Active Sports Camp, we believe that any active kid interested in playing sports and having fun is guaranteed to participate at our camp. We offer weekly summer programs for children between the ages of 6-12 who love engaging in action and athletics. Our sessions consist of one week (5 day) blocks beginning the week of July 3rd, 2018 and ending the week of August 20th, 2018. Throughout the course of our 8-week life span, we offer both Multi-Sport and Hockey programs to all campers.
Our Multi-Sport program gives campers a taste of a wide range of sports such as soccer, basketball, cricket, volleyball, badminton and so much more. Do you have to be an expert in all sport areas? Most definitely not! Whether you are playing the sport for the first time or practicing to improve skills, we focus on cherishing the fun and the value of the game overall. During a typical day in our multi-sport program, we participate in four different sports as well as two camp-wide activities.
Our Hockey program is for those campers who want to primarily spend their time in our arena learning and developing skating skills and scoring tricks. Similar to our Multi-Sport program, campers of all skill abilities are welcome to sign up for Hockey. At hockey camp, campers get any where from 2-3 hours (depending on the age group) of ice time per day to ensure all our skaters get ample opportunity to practice and play.
Both programs do come with limited spots that fill up quickly so please register as soon as possible!
Each separate program is further divided into smaller groups based on age. During an average week, campers ages 6-8 are part of the Junior groups and ages 9-12 are members of the Senior groups. However, our most popular weeks of the summer are greeted with the addition of a Rookie group that makes room for more campers to enjoy the week. Since it is our mission at Del Active to make sure our campers are always having fun, we are flexible and accepting to move campers between groups to accommodate siblings or friends of different age groups.
Although our groups are primarily divided by age, we understand that the different levels require the games to be modified to suit the needs of the group. For example, we do not have our Juniors and Rookies using real cricket sticks while playing. Cricket is a difficult and uncommon sport that requires more skill to handle the real bat. Therefore, allowing our Rookies and Juniors to play with a tennis racquet as a substitute insures a greater success rate at the game and boosts overall camper confidence!

Fun and games make a happy camper, but fun, games and a delicious lunch make an energetic Del Active camper! At Del Active, we offer a healthy and affordable weekly hot lunch program for campers as we understand the importance of a nutritious energy boost in order to stay healthy and active.
The Lunch Mom graciously provides our campers with healthy, delicious and kid-friendly hot lunches to satisfy their hungry needs. Each meal comes with fruits and veggies in addition to the hot meal. The lunches are open to anyone and the company has a nut-free policy and accommodates most dietary needs. To get an idea of the different meals provided, check out the 2018 lunch menu below. For more information, please visit their website at thelunchmom.com.
If you are interested in participating in the lunch program, please let us know on your registration. For those families that have already registered, send us an email at email@example.com regarding a lunch request and it would be our pleasure to add your son or daughter to the list. However, if the lunch program is not right for you, make sure to pack a nut-free lunch for your camper!
Although your camper is personally categorized into their age-appropriate group, we do have a time each day where every group and camper comes together to play a camp-wide game. We call them “Del Games” and they consist of large group activities that everyone, campers and counsellors, can fully participate in. Although the names of the games such as The Hunger Games and Indiana Jones can speak for themselves, we do not want to spoil too much about how much fun we have!
The most popular and lively part of our camp are the famous “Camper of The Day” Belts given to the campers with the best attitude and the most energy! We strongly believe that it is the liveliness and fire that our campers bring that keeps our camp running strongly.
Theme Day each takes place on Thursday each week and encourages spirit and creativity as campers try to out-dress one another by having the best Superhero costume or Crazy hair, just to name a few.
Our weekly cheer-off between our camp groups is very competitive as each group tries to sing and dance the loudest to win the most points!
